Ahmad Raheem Carroll (born August 4, 1983) is an American former professional football player. He played as a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He also played in other leagues like the Arena Football League (AFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Carroll played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Green Bay Packers chose him in the first round of the 2004 NFL draft. He was also part of teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.

Early Life and "Batman" Nickname

Ahmad Carroll was born on August 4, 1983, in Atlanta, Georgia. When he was younger, he ran track and played Pop Warner football. During his Pop Warner days, he got the nickname "Batman." This happened because he often jumped over offensive linemen during games.

He went to Frederick Douglass High School in Atlanta. There, he was a top player in both football and track. In football, he played as a cornerback and a tailback. Experts rated him as one of the best defensive backs in the country. As a senior, he made 70 tackles. After high school, he earned a scholarship to the University of Arkansas.

College Career at Arkansas

At the University of Arkansas, Ahmad Carroll was a talented athlete in two sports. He was a sprinter for the track team. He also played as a cornerback for the football team.

During his college football career, he achieved these stats:

In 2002, he set a new school record in the 60-meter dash. He also ran well in the 100-meter dash. In 2003, he broke his own school record in the 60-meter dash. He also performed strongly in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. He was the first football player since 1948 to score points in an NCAA outdoor track meet. He was also the first Arkansas athlete to earn All-America honors in both the 100m and 200m dashes.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers picked Carroll in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played for the Packers until the 2006 season. During his time there, he sometimes faced challenges with penalties. He was released by the team in 2006.

Jacksonville Jaguars

In October 2006, Carroll joined the Jacksonville Jaguars. He left the Jaguars in May 2007.
