Aimee Carrero (born July 15, 1988) is an American actress. She is famous for using her voice in popular animated shows. These include Princess Elena in Disney Channel's Elena of Avalor and Adora/She-Ra in the Netflix series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
Aimee has also acted in live-action TV shows. She played Sofia Rodriguez on the Freeform show Young & Hungry. She was also Angie on the Cartoon Network series Level Up.

Early Life and Education
Aimee Carrero was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Her mother is from the Dominican Republic, and her father is from Puerto Rico. She grew up in Miami, Florida.
She went to Florida International University. In 2008, she earned a degree in international relations.
Aimee's Acting Career
Aimee Carrero started her acting journey in 2007. In 2009, she appeared in the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. She also had roles in many TV shows. Some of these include The Mentalist, The Middle, and Baby Daddy.
In 2011, Aimee was cast as Angie in the live-action movie Level Up. She then played the same role in the TV series Level Up. This show ran for two seasons until 2013.
In 2014, she had a recurring role in the TV series The Americans. She played Lucia, a freedom fighter and spy. She also joined the cast of the sitcom Young & Hungry. In this show, she co-starred with Emily Osment.
Becoming a Disney Princess
In 2015, Aimee got a very special role. She became the voice of Elena, Disney's first Latina fairy tale princess. This was for the Disney Channel series Elena of Avalor. The show started on July 22, 2016. It was a spin-off from the Disney Junior series Sofia the First. This means it was a new show that came from an older one.
Voice of She-Ra
In 2018, Aimee was chosen for another big voice role. She became the voice of the main character Adora in the Netflix animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. This show was a new version of an older cartoon.
Recent Roles
From 2021 to 2022, Aimee starred in the online series Exandria Unlimited. This show is a spin-off of the popular web series Critical Role.
In 2021, Carrero had a recurring role in the drama series Maid. She played Danielle, a survivor of domestic abuse. Her character becomes friends with Alex, the main character. Fans praised Danielle as a strong and determined person.
In 2022, she appeared in the movies Spirited and The Menu. On October 16, 2022, Aimee received the Breakout Performance Award. This award was given at the Newport Beach Film Festival.
In 2024, she played Vivian in the romantic comedy film Upgraded. She also joined the main cast of the Apple TV+ drama series Your Friends and Neighbors. She will star alongside actors like Jon Hamm.
Aimee also has a main role in the action-comedy film Code 3. She plays a new paramedic named Jessica. The film is set to premiere on September 12, 2024.
