Aimie Allen-Atkinson is a talented English actress and singer. She was born on June 5, 1987. You might know her from playing Katherine Howard in the popular musical Six. She also starred as Vivian Ward in the West End show Pretty Woman. Aimie is also part of a pop group called SVN.

Early Life and Beginnings

Aimie grew up in Stevenage, England. Her dad played in a rock band, which inspired her to start singing when she was young. She loved performing and was part of a group called Fusion Performing Arts at her school. Before becoming a full-time actress, she even helped run a drama school for kids!

Becoming a Star: Aimie's Career Journey

Aimie's journey into musical theatre began with a friendly challenge. While studying at the Arts Educational School, she and a friend decided to enter the BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre competition. Aimie first won the amateur part of the competition. Then, she competed against experienced professional singers and won that too!

At just 19, Aimie became a full-time actress. Her first professional role was in a play called Days of Hope. She then took on many different parts. After some intensive training, she joined the UK tour of Zorro, playing the character of Luisa.

Aimie has played many exciting roles in musicals. She was Daniela in In The Heights and even Princess Jasmine in Aladdin. She also played Serena in Legally Blonde and Snow White in Snow White.

Playing Katherine Howard in Six

One of Aimie's most famous roles is playing Katherine Howard in the musical Six. This popular show tells the stories of the six wives of King Henry VIII. Aimie was part of the original cast when the show opened in London's West End. She performed in Six at the Arts Theatre, Lyric Theatre, and Vaudeville Theatre.

Starring in Pretty Woman: The Musical

On February 13, 2020, Aimie began playing Vivian Ward in the West End production of Pretty Woman: The Musical. The show opened officially in March 2020. However, it had to close just two weeks later because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Aimie returned to the show when it reopened in July 2021 at the Savoy Theatre. The show finished its run in London in June 2023.

New Projects and Future Shows

Aimie continues to take on new and exciting roles. In 2023, she was part of the English premiere of Death Note: The Musical at the London Palladium, playing the character of Rem. She also competed in Una voce per San Marino 2024 in February 2024, hoping to represent San Marino in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. In September 2024, it was announced she would star as Lucia in Figaro: An Original Musical at the London Palladium.

Music and Recordings

Aimie is also a talented singer. She released her first solo album, Step Inside of Love, in 2017.

SVN: A Pop Girl Group

In 2021, Aimie formed a seven-member girl group called SVN. The other six members were also part of the original West End cast of Six. The group has released several singles, including "Woman" and "Free".

Solo Music Releases

On June 18, 2021, Aimie released her own single, "Pretty Woman". This song is a modern version of the classic hit by Roy Orbison.

Aimie's Philanthropy

Aimie uses her platform to help others. She has done charity work, including a 24-hour musical marathon live stream to raise money for Save the Children.
