Aimie Allen-Atkinson, born on June 5, 1987, is a talented English actress and singer who performs on stage. She is well-known for playing Katherine Howard in the musical SIX. Aimie also played Vivian Ward in the West End production of Pretty Woman. She is also a member of the pop girl group SVN.

Early life and beginnings
Aimie Atkinson was born in Stevenage, England. Her parents are Faith Allen and Tom Atkinson. Her father played in a rock band part-time. This encouraged Aimie to start singing when she was very young.
While studying at Collenswood School in Stevenage, Aimie was part of the Fusion Performing Arts group. She took part in many of their shows. After finishing her GCSEs, she worked as an assistant in a music publishing company. She also managed a Stagecraft school in Stevenage.
Career highlights
Aimie Atkinson's journey into professional acting began when she was studying at the Arts Educational School. She and a friend decided to apply for the BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre competition. Aimie was first told she could only enter the amateur competition. She won that competition. Then, she competed against professional contestants. These were people with at least five years of stage experience. Aimie won that competition too!
At age 19, Aimie left Arts Educational to become a full-time stage actress. Her first professional role was in Days of Hope at the King's Head Theatre. She then took on various parts. Later, she started an intensive musical theatre course at the Royal Academy of Music. After two months there, she joined the UK tour of Zorro. She played the part of Luisa in that show.
Major musical roles
Aimie has played many exciting roles in musicals. She played Daniela in In The Heights at the King's Cross Theatre. She also played Princess Jasmine in Aladdin. Aimie was Serena in Legally Blonde at Kilworth House. She also starred as Snow White at Richmond Theatre.
One of her most famous roles was originating Katherine Howard. This was in the West End production of SIX. She performed this role on the original UK tour. She also played it in London at the Arts Theatre, Lyric Theatre, and Vaudeville Theatre.
On February 13, 2020, Aimie began playing Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman: The Musical. This was in London's West End. The show officially opened on March 2, 2020. However, it closed two weeks later due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Aimie returned to the show when it reopened at the Savoy Theatre on July 8, 2021. The show finished its run in June 2023. It was then announced that it would go on a UK and Ireland tour.
In May 2023, it was announced that Death Note: The Musical would have its English premiere. This happened at the London Palladium in August 2023. Aimie was part of the cast, playing the character Rem. The show later moved to the Lyric Theatre for more performances in September 2023.
In February 2024, Aimie was chosen to compete in the final of Una voce per San Marino 2024. This competition selects the entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 for San Marino. Her song was "A Dare for Love".
In September 2024, it was announced that Figaro: An Original Musical would have its West End Concert premiere. This concert took place at the London Palladium. Aimie was in the cast, playing the role of Lucia.
Music and recordings
Aimie Atkinson released her first solo album, Step Inside of Love, in 2017. She was also a member of the girl group Goldstone. With Goldstone, she competed in Eurovision: You Decide 2018. Their song was "I Feel The Love".

On June 18, 2021, Aimie Atkinson released her single "Pretty Woman". This was a modern version of Roy Orbison's famous song.
Personal life and charity work
Aimie Atkinson is married to fellow West End actor John Dalgleish.
Aimie is also involved in charity work. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she did a '24 Hour Musical-A-Thon' live stream. She did this with her flatmate, Thomas ‘Tom’ Gribby, on Instagram. They raised over £10,421 for Save the Children’s ‘Coronavirus Charity Appeal’. This event took place on May 30-31, 2020.
