Growing Up and High School
Alan-Michael Cash was born on August 20, 1987. His hometown is Henrico County, Virginia. He went to Varina High School in Henrico, Virginia.
Playing for NC State
After high school, Alan-Michael went to North Carolina State University. In 2005, he was a "redshirt" player. This means he practiced with the team but did not play in games. It helped him get ready for future seasons.
From 2006 to 2009, he played in games for four years. He was a "letterman" each of those years. This means he earned a special award for being a key player on the team.

Montreal Alouettes
On May 26, 2011, the Montreal Alouettes signed Cash. He was released a short time later. However, he re-signed with the Alouettes on February 21, 2012. He signed an extension with the team in December 2013. In 2014, he was chosen as a CFL East Division All-Star. This means he was one of the best players in his division that year.
Toronto Argonauts
On March 23, 2017, Cash signed with the Toronto Argonauts. He played for them for a season. He was released by the team in May 2018.
Edmonton Eskimos
On July 3, 2018, Alan-Michael joined the practice roster of the Edmonton Eskimos. A practice roster is a group of players who train with the team but don't always play in games. He was released a few days later. He re-signed with them in October 2018, but was released again shortly after.
