Alan Ko's Journey to Stardom
Alan is the son of the famous Taiwanese stuntman and actor, Blackie Ko Shou Liang. Alan wrote two songs, "Wake Up" and "I Miss You," for his father. These songs show how much his father influenced him. Before becoming a famous singer, Alan worked very hard.
Starting His Music Career
Alan first started as a guitarist. He didn't have much experience writing songs or lyrics. In 1999, he joined Alpha Music. He worked there as a host until 2002.
Later, Alan became friends with Jay Chou, another famous musician. Jay Chou told him that writing his own songs was important. This advice inspired Alan to start writing more. He began to write songs in different styles. These included R&B, rock music, rap, and pop music.
Alan's music director pushed him to make his songs perfect. He worked on them every day, week, and month. Even when it was tough, Alan kept going. After six years of hard work, he chose the best 12 songs for his first album.
Overcoming Challenges
In 2003, Alan's father passed away. This was a very sad time for Alan. But it didn't stop him from following his dreams. His father had told him to succeed and make him proud. Alan wanted to honor his father's wishes.
On August 19, 2005, Alan Kuo released his first album. It had 12 songs and was very popular. Famous Hong Kong singer and actor, Jacky Cheung, also supported his music. Since then, Alan has acted in many TV shows and movies.
Alan Ko's Personal Life
In 2007, Alan changed his Chinese name. He changed it from 柯有倫 to 柯有綸. But in 2011, he changed it back to 柯有倫.
In 2018, Alan married his wife, Donna. They had known each other for 20 years before getting married in Hong Kong. In August 2020, they welcomed their daughter.
