Albert Wilson II (born July 12, 1992) is a former American football player. He was a wide receiver, which means he caught passes from the quarterback. Albert played college football for the Georgia State Panthers. He holds many records for Georgia State, like the most touchdown catches. He also had the longest pass play and longest punt return in the school's history. After college, Wilson played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins.

Early Life and High School Football
Albert Wilson was born in Fort Pierce, Florida. He grew up in foster care and was later adopted by Brian and Rose Bailey when he was in tenth grade. He then moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida to stay in his high school.
Albert played quarterback for the Port St. Lucie High School Jaguars. In 2010, during his senior year, he was named the Scripps Treasure Coast Newspapers All-Area Offensive Player of the Year. He gained a total of 2,631 yards and scored 22 touchdowns that year. This included 1,029 passing yards, 824 rushing yards, and 81 receiving yards. He also returned kicks and interceptions for many yards. Besides football, Albert was also a track athlete for his high school. He ran in races like the 100m and 200m.
College Football Career
Albert Wilson played for the Georgia State Panthers from 2010 to 2013. He was the first player from Georgia State to be invited to the NFL Combine. This is a special event where college players show off their skills to NFL teams.
During his college career, Albert gained a total of 6,235 all-purpose yards. This means yards from running, catching, and returning kicks. This amount was one of the highest in NCAA history. He became the Panthers' all-time leading scorer with 26 touchdowns. He also became the top receiver in Georgia State history with 175 catches for 3,190 yards and 23 touchdowns.
Albert also set school records for kickoff returns and punt returns. He had the longest catch (93 yards), longest run (80 yards), longest kickoff return (100 yards), and longest punt return (62 yards) in Georgia State history. Because of his amazing play, he received special honors. In 2013, he was named First-team All-Sun Belt. In 2012, he was named First-team All-CAA as a kick returner.
Professional Football Career
Kansas City Chiefs
After college, Albert Wilson was not chosen in the 2014 NFL draft. However, the Kansas City Chiefs signed him as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2014. He signed a three-year contract.
He played his first NFL game on September 7, 2014. In his first season, he caught 16 passes for 260 yards.
In 2015, Albert was the Chiefs' third-best receiver. He caught 35 passes for 451 yards and scored 2 touchdowns. The Chiefs made it to the 2015–16 NFL playoffs that year. Albert caught 7 passes for 66 yards and one touchdown in the playoffs.
In 2016, he caught 31 passes for 279 yards and scored two receiving touchdowns. He also scored one rushing touchdown. The Chiefs again made it to the 2016–17 NFL playoffs. Albert caught a touchdown in their playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On March 9, 2017, the Chiefs signed Albert to a one-year contract extension. In the 2017 season, he caught 42 passes for 554 yards and three touchdowns.
Miami Dolphins
On March 15, 2018, Albert Wilson signed a three-year contract with the Miami Dolphins. In one game in 2018, he caught two passes for 74 yards. He also threw a 52-yard touchdown pass to another player, Jakeem Grant, on a special trick play!
In Week 6 against the Chicago Bears, Albert had a fantastic game. He caught six passes for a career-high 155 yards and scored two touchdowns. Because of this great performance, he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. Unfortunately, he got a hip injury later that season. He finished the 2018 season with 26 catches for 391 yards and four touchdowns. In 2019, he played in 13 games and caught 43 passes for 351 yards.
In 2020, Albert decided not to play the season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He returned for the 2021 season and played in 14 games. He caught 25 passes for 213 yards.
Minnesota Vikings and Las Vegas Raiders
On June 1, 2022, Albert Wilson signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He was released from the team in August.
Later in 2022, on October 7, Albert signed with the practice squad of the Las Vegas Raiders. He was later moved to the main team roster. He was released and re-signed to the practice squad again before being released in December.
On May 10, 2024, Albert Wilson announced that he was retiring from professional football.
