Alejandro Abraham Guerra Morales (born on July 9, 1985) is a former professional football player from Venezuela. He played as an attacking midfielder, which means he was a player who helped both defend and attack, often scoring goals or setting them up for his teammates.

Alejandro Guerra's Football Journey

Alejandro Guerra started his exciting football career in his hometown of Caracas, Venezuela. He became known for his skill and passion for the game.

Playing for Caracas FC

Guerra began playing for his first big club, Caracas FC, in 2003. He quickly showed his talent, scoring his first professional goal in September 2003 in a big 6–0 win.

In 2004, he went on loan to a club called Juventud Antoniana for a year. After returning to Caracas FC, he became a regular player, meaning he played almost every game. He even scored his first goal in the important Copa Libertadores tournament in 2007. After many years with Caracas FC, he left the club in 2010.

Moving to Deportivo Anzoátegui

In July 2010, Guerra joined another top Venezuelan club, Deportivo Anzoátegui. He made a strong start, scoring in his very first game for them.

He had an amazing season with Deportivo Anzoátegui, scoring three goals in one game (a hat-trick) twice! He finished the season with 16 goals, which is a lot for a midfielder. He also scored a goal in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana tournament.

Time with Mineros de Guayana

Guerra then moved to Mineros de Guayana in July 2011. He quickly became a key player for them, scoring two goals in one game in September 2011.

He helped Mineros de Guayana finish second in the league in 2013–14. He also played a big part in the 2012 Copa Sudamericana, scoring three goals. His team even became the first Venezuelan club to win an away match in that competition!

Becoming a Champion with Atlético Nacional

In 2014, Guerra moved to Colombia to play for Atlético Nacional. This was his first time playing for a club outside Venezuela. He played so well that the club decided to buy him permanently in 2015.

Guerra was a very important player for Atlético Nacional. He helped them win the Copa Libertadores in 2016. This was a huge achievement because he became the first Venezuelan player ever to win this famous tournament! He scored three goals in the competition, including two important goals that helped his team reach the quarterfinals.

Playing in Brazil with Palmeiras

In December 2016, Guerra signed a three-year contract with the Brazilian club Palmeiras. This was a big move for him, joining one of Brazil's top teams.
