He loved football, which is what soccer is called in many parts of the world. He was a big fan of the Arsenal football team. For a while, Alfie even played football semi-professionally. This means he played for money, but it wasn't his full-time job. He even played in a match against his favorite team, Arsenal, once!

Dr. Evazan tells Luke, "I have the death sentence on twelve systems!" During this brief bar fight, Dr. Evazan's partner, Ponda Baba, gets hurt by Obi-Wan Kenobi. This scene shows the very first time a lightsaber is used in a fight in the Star Wars movies.
