Alhang is a hill located in the beautiful Carsphairn and Scaur Hills range. This range is part of the larger Southern Uplands in Scotland.
Alhang is known for being the lowest "Donald" hill in its range. A "Donald" is a special type of Scottish hill that is at least 2,000 feet (610 meters) high. Alhang stands at 642 meters (2,106 feet) tall. Another nearby hill, Meikledodd Hill, is just one meter taller.
The northern side of Alhang is where the River Afton begins its journey. Many people enjoy climbing Alhang. The easiest ways to reach the top are from the Water of Ken to the east or from Glen Afton to the north.
