Aline is a small town located in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, in the United States. In 2020, about 168 people lived there. It's a quiet place with a unique history, especially known for its connection to early railroads and a special historical house.

History of Aline

When Aline was first settled, getting around was tough! In 1901, the Choctaw Northern Railroad built the first train tracks through Alfalfa County. This railroad later became part of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific system.

This was a big deal because it connected Aline to other towns like Augusta, Ingersoll, and Lambert. Trains made it much easier for people and goods to travel. This new railway helped the town of Aline grow and connect with the rest of the state.

Geography and Location

Aline is a pretty small town in terms of size. According to the United States Census Bureau, it covers about 0.263 square miles (0.69 square kilometers) of land. There is no water area within the town limits.

The town is connected to the state highway system by State Highway 8B. This highway ends right in Aline, making it an important road for the town.

  • Harold G. Kiner (1924–1944) was born in Aline. He was a brave soldier in the United States Army and received the Medal of Honor. This is the highest military award given for bravery.
