Allagash is a small town located in Aroostook County, Maine, in the United States. It sits right on the Allagash River, which is part of the beautiful North Maine Woods area.

Geography
Allagash is a very large town when you look at its total area. It covers about 131.42 square miles (340.38 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 128.61 square miles (333.10 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 2.81 square miles (7.28 square kilometers), is water.
This makes Allagash the biggest town in Maine by land area. However, if you include both land and water, some coastal towns like Vinalhaven and St. George are even larger.
Climate
Allagash has a climate with big changes between seasons. Summers are usually warm or hot and can be humid. Winters are cold, sometimes very cold.
