About Allium przewalskianum
This plant is a special kind of onion that grows wild. It was first described by a botanist named Eduard August von Regel.
Where Does It Grow?
Allium przewalskianum grows in mountain areas across the Himalayas. You can find it in countries like India, Nepal, and Pakistan. It also grows in many parts of China, including regions like Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Tibet, and Yunnan.
What Does It Look Like?
This wild onion has small, narrow bulbs that are about 10 millimeters (about 0.4 inches) wide. Its main stem, called a scape, can grow up to 40 centimeters (about 16 inches) tall. The scape is round.
