Angle Peak is a tall mountain peak. It stands about 2,910-metre (9,547 ft) high. You can find it in Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta, Canada.
The mountain got its name because it is located where a mountain ridge makes a bend or "angle." A surveyor named Morrison P. Bridgland gave it this descriptive name in 1916. He named many peaks in Jasper Park and the Canadian Rockies. The name "Angle Peak" became official in 1935.
Angle Peak is in the beautiful Tonquin Valley. The `Angle Glacier` is on its north side. `Alcove Mountain` is right to its west. A mountain range called The Ramparts is about 10 kilometers to the northwest. Also, Mount Edith Cavell is about 12 kilometers to the northeast.
Climate
Angle Peak has a subarctic climate. This means it has very cold and snowy winters. Temperatures can drop below -20 degrees Celsius. With the wind, it can feel even colder, sometimes below -30 degrees Celsius. Summers are mild, not too hot.
