Angélica Ksyvickis, born on November 30, 1973, is a famous Brazilian TV host, actress, and singer. She is known simply as Angélica. She started her career very young and became a big star in Brazil.

Angélica's Amazing Career Journey

Angélica began her career at just four years old. She won a contest for Brazil's most beautiful child on a popular TV show. When she was 13, she became famous. She took over as host of the kids' show Clube da Criança (Kid's Club).

Her popularity grew even more with her hit song Vou de táxi ("I go by taxi"). This song was a remake of a French song. It quickly became number one on the Brazilian music charts. Even after more than 20 years, Vou de táxi is still a classic song that many Brazilians remember.

In 1991, her new album, "Angelica," made her even more popular. The song "Sweet cotton and Guarana" was a big hit from that album. She also acted in a popular mini-series called The Guarani. Angélica has sold over 13 million copies of her albums. She released 13 albums between 1988 and 2001.

Moving to New TV Channels

In 1993, Angélica joined SBT, which was the second most popular TV channel in Brazil. There, she hosted a kids' variety show called "Casa da Angelica," which was very successful. She also hosted popular game shows for teens, like "Passa ou Repassa" and "TV Animal."

In 1996, she signed a seven-year contract with Rede Globo, a major TV network. She started her own show, Angélica, also known as Angel Mix. This show aired every weekday morning. After Angel Mix, she starred in a soap opera called "Caça Talentos," where she played a fairy named Fada Bela.

Her shows were very popular, and Angélica became even more famous. She sold a lot of merchandise and CDs. For a while, she was more popular than other TV hosts. In 1998, she had 250 products linked to her name. Her shoes sold over 1 million pairs in five months. Her cereal sold over 7 million boxes, and her nail polish sold 4 million.

New Challenges and Successes

Eventually, Angélica decided to stop hosting children's shows. She became the presenter for Video Game, a five-minute part of the show Vídeo Show. Video Game was a game show where two celebrities competed each week. This segment made Vídeo Show's ratings double. What started as a short summer segment in 2001 became a 20-minute part of the show. It continued to be very popular for many years.

Because of the success of Vídeo Show, Angélica became very popular again. She appeared in many advertisements and on magazine covers. She also hosted the first two seasons of Fame, which was the Brazilian version of a singing competition show.

After her successful return to TV, Rede Globo planned new projects for her. In April 2006, her own show, "Estrelas," began. On "Estrelas," Angélica interviewed celebrities and showed their homes and hobbies. This show was very popular and aired every Saturday. She hosted "Estrelas" until 2018.

Angélica's Acting Roles

Angélica had her first acting role in the mini-series "The Guarani." In the late 1980s and early 1990s, she also appeared in several movies with the comedy group Os Trapalhões.
