Annie Parisse's Early Life
Annie Parisse was born in Anchorage, Alaska. Her mother, Annette, was a teacher, and her father, Louis G. Cancelmi, worked as a senior executive for Alaska Airlines. Annie has family roots from Italy, Slovakia, and Syria. Her brother, Louis Cancelmi, is also an actor. Louis is married to Elisabeth Waterston, whose father is Sam Waterston, a famous actor from Law & Order.

Early in her career, Annie appeared as a guest star on several TV shows. These included Big Apple, Third Watch, and Friends. In 2002, she had a small role on Law & Order. She later became a main cast member on Law & Order for seasons 15 and 16. Her character was Alexandra Borgia. Annie left the show in 2006, and her character was written out of the story.
Annie also appeared in several movies. In 2003, she played Jeannie Ashcroft in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. She had a small role as Agent Dawes in the 2004 action movie National Treasure. In 2005, she was in the movie Monster-in-Law.
Later, in 2010, Annie played Marine Sergeant Lena Riggi Basilone in the war drama The Pacific. Lena was the wife of a brave Marine named John Basilone. Annie also had a recurring role on the CBS show Person of Interest. She played Kara Stanton, who was the former partner of the main character, John Reese. In 2013, Annie joined the Fox series The Following as an FBI specialist. She also appeared in the HBO series Vinyl in 2016 and the Netflix series Friends from College from 2017 to 2019. In 2018, she acted alongside Al Pacino in the movie Paterno.
