Anthony Roberson (born February 14, 1983) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a point guard. Roberson played college basketball for the University of Florida. He later joined the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies in 2005.

Early Life and High School Basketball
Anthony Roberson was born in Saginaw, Michigan. He went to Saginaw High School. There, he played high school basketball for the Saginaw Trojans. He was a very talented player.
As a junior, he scored about 24 points per game. Because of his skills, he was named a Parade magazine high school All-American. Many top colleges wanted him to play for them. These included the University of Florida, Duke University, and Michigan State University. Roberson decided to attend the University of Florida.
College Basketball Career
Roberson received a sports scholarship to the University of Florida. He played for the Florida Gators men's basketball team. His coach was Billy Donovan. He played for the Gators from 2003 to 2005.
After his third year, he decided to leave college early. He wanted to enter the NBA Draft. This meant he gave up his last year of college eligibility.
Playing Professional Basketball
Anthony Roberson entered the 2005 NBA draft. He was not chosen by any team at first. However, the Memphis Grizzlies signed him in August 2005. During the 2005–06 NBA season, he played for both the Grizzlies and their minor league team, the Arkansas RimRockers.
In October 2006, the Golden State Warriors signed him. He played in 20 games for them in the 2006–07 NBA season. On December 4, 2006, Roberson had his best game in the NBA. He scored 21 points against the San Antonio Spurs.
After his time in the NBA, Roberson played overseas. He played in Israel for Hapoel Jerusalem B.C. and in Turkey. In July 2008, he joined the New York Knicks for their summer league. He then signed a two-year deal with the Knicks.
In February 2009, Roberson was traded to the Chicago Bulls. He was traded along with two other players for Larry Hughes. He was later released by the Bulls in July 2009.
Roberson continued his career playing for teams around the world. He played in France for Strasbourg IG. He also played in Italy, China, Argentina, Qatar, and Mexico. In 2014, he signed with APOEL B.C. in Cyprus. He helped his team win the 2014 Cypriot Super Cup. He was the top scorer in that game with 19 points. In 2016, he signed with Boulazac Basket Dordogne in France.
Personal Life
Anthony Roberson has a cousin named Terrance Roberson. Terrance also played college basketball. He played for Fresno State. He also played a few games in the NBA for the Charlotte Hornets in 2000.
