History of Arcadia
Arcadia was first planned and mapped out in 1849. It got its name from an ancient region in Greece called Arcadia. This Greek region was known for its peaceful, natural beauty. A post office has been open in Arcadia since 1871, helping people send and receive mail for a long time.
