Archer City is a small city in Archer County, Texas, United States. It is the main town, also known as the county seat, of Archer County. The city is located where two important roads, State Highway 79 and State Highway 25, meet.

Archer City is about 25 miles (40 km) south of Wichita Falls. It is part of the larger Wichita Falls metropolitan area. In 2020, about 1,601 people lived in Archer City. The city was named after Branch Tanner Archer, who was an important person for the Republic of Texas.
