Arisdorf is a small town, also called a municipality, located in Switzerland. It's part of the Basel-Country canton, which is like a state or region, and belongs to the Liestal district.

History
Arisdorf has a long history! It was first mentioned in official records way back in 1154. Back then, it was known by a slightly different name: Arnolstorf.
Geography
Arisdorf covers an area of about 10 square kilometers (about 3.86 square miles). A large part of this land, more than half (56.3%), is used for farming. About a third (34.1%) is covered by forests, which means lots of trees and nature! The rest of the land (9.4%) has buildings and roads.
The town is nestled in a valley within the Jura Mountains. It includes the main village of Arisdorf, which is divided into three sections: Oberdorf, Mitteldorf, and Unterdorf. You can also find scattered individual houses around the area.
Coat of Arms
The blazon (official description) of Arisdorf's municipal coat of arms is quite interesting. It shows a black bear standing on its hind legs, with a red tongue and claws, on top of red hills. The background color is gold.
