Armenia's Journey in Eurovision
Armenia did very well in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Their singer, Iveta Mukuchyan, performed "LoveWave" and received points from many countries in both the Semi-final and the Grand Final.
How Armenia Got Points
In the Semi-final, Armenia received lots of points from countries like the Czech Republic, France, Netherlands, and Russia through public votes (televote). The expert juries also gave Armenia high points, especially from Malta, Montenegro, Russia, and Spain.
In the Grand Final, Armenia continued to get strong support. The public from France, Georgia, and Russia gave Armenia their top "12 points". The juries also showed their support, with "12 points" coming from Bulgaria, Russia, and Spain. This shows how much people across Europe enjoyed "LoveWave"!
How Armenia Voted for Other Countries
Armenia also cast its votes in the Eurovision Song Contest, just like all other participating countries. These votes were split into two parts: the public vote (televote) and the jury vote (expert panel).
Armenia's Semi-final Votes
In the first Semi-final, Armenia's public gave their top "12 points" to Russia. The Armenian jury, however, gave their "12 points" to Malta. This shows that sometimes the public and the experts have different favorite songs!

In the Grand Final, the Armenian public once again gave their "12 points" to Russia. The Armenian jury chose France as their favorite, giving them "12 points".
