Arnold was a special area in Saint Louis County, Minnesota, United States. It was called a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means it was an area set up just for counting people during the U.S. census. It was not an official town or city.
In 2010, about 2,960 people lived in Arnold. This area was located inside what used to be Rice Lake Township. It was right next to the city of Duluth. In 2015, Rice Lake Township became the city of Rice Lake. Because of this, Arnold stopped being a separate census-designated place.
Most people living in this area didn't really use the name "Arnold" for where they lived. Since the 1970s, they usually said they were from Rice Lake or Duluth. The name Arnold was mainly used for official population counts.
