Ayşe Arman, born on December 9, 1969, is a well-known Turkish journalist and columnist. She is famous for her interesting interviews with many different people. Ayşe has written two books. One of them is a collection of her best interviews from over the years. She also has German citizenship.
Ayşe Arman's Early Life and Family
Ayşe Arman was born in Adana, which was her father's hometown in Turkey. Her mother is German. Ayşe went to Tarsus American College in Tarsus, located in Mersin province.
After college, she attended the School of Press and Publishing at Istanbul University. However, she did not complete her degree there. Ayşe Arman is married to Ömer Dormen. Ömer is the son of famous theater actor Haldun Dormen and public relations expert Betül Mardin. Ayşe and Ömer have one daughter together, named Alya.
Ayşe Arman's Career in Journalism
Ayşe Arman began her career in journalism in the 1990s. She started working with the team at a weekly magazine called Nokta. Later, she became a columnist for Hürriyet, a major Turkish newspaper.
At Hürriyet, she became known for her honest and direct way of talking about personal topics. In some of her articles, she wrote about important issues. These included feminism, which is about equal rights for women, and LGBT rights, which are about fairness for all people. In November 2019, Ayşe Arman announced that she was leaving her job as a columnist at Hürriyet.
Ayşe Arman also appeared on television. She was a judge on the Turkish version of Dancing on Ice. This show, called Buzda Dans in Turkish, started on January 8, 2007.
