Azali facts for kids
The Azali religion (also called Azali Babism or just Azali) is a faith from Iran. It was started in the 1860s by a leader named Subh-i-Azal.
Azali is a monotheistic religion. This means its followers believe in only one God. Its teachings are inspired by older faiths. These include Abrahamic religions like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It also takes ideas from ancient Iranian religions like Zoroastrianism. Some ideas also come from Indian religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, and Sikhism.
The Azali faith and the Baha'i Faith both grew out of an earlier religion called Bábism. They share some history, but they developed into separate paths. Some people see Azali as one of the groups that came from Bábism.
