BancorpSouth Arena is a huge building in Tupelo, Mississippi. It's a multi-purpose arena, which means it can host many different kinds of events. It was named after BancorpSouth, a big banking company from the area.
This arena can hold up to 10,000 people! It used to be known as Tupelo Coliseum and BancorpSouth Center before 2006.
The arena has been home to several sports teams. These include the Tupelo FireAnts and Mississippi MudCats, who played arena football. It also hosted the Tupelo T-Rex ice hockey team and the Mississippi Hound Dogs football team.
The building cost about $16 million to build in 1993. It's a modern facility for its size. Before the arena was built, a shopping mall called Downtown Mall was in its place. When the mall closed, the building was changed into the arena you see today.
For sports events like basketball games or rodeos, the arena can seat about 8,000 fans.
