Bayamón Fútbol Club is a professional football (soccer) team from Puerto Rico. They are based in Bayamón and started playing in 1999. Their home games are played at Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium. This club is also part of the DV7 Soccer Academy, which was started by the famous football player David Villa.

History of Bayamón FC
Early Years (1999–2005)
Bayamón FC was created in 1999. They began playing in the Liga Mayor de Fútbol Nacional. The team was very successful during these years. They won championships in 2000 and 2002. They also finished second in 2003 and third in 2004. The team then took a break from 2006 to 2008.
Return to Play (2009 Season)
Bayamón FC returned to the field in 2009. They played in the first game of the Puerto Rico Soccer League season. Even though they lost their first game, they quickly bounced back. They won big against Humacao Tornados (8–1) and Guaynabo Fluminense (4–1). Bayamón finished second in the league. They then won the playoff championship by beating Atléticos de San Juan.
Playing in New Leagues (2010–2013)
The team did not play in the Puerto Rico Soccer League for a few years. This was because the league was having some problems. Instead, Bayamón FC played in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Puerto Rico. They became champions of this league in both 2010 and 2011.
New Name and Big Tournaments (2014 Season)
In 2014, the team was briefly called Puerto Rico BFC. They planned to play in the National Premier Soccer League, but it didn't happen. However, they still qualified for a very important tournament. This was the 2014–15 CONCACAF Champions League. They earned their spot by winning matches in the 2014 CFU Club Championship. Francisco Arias was their coach that year.
Joining David Villa's Academy (2016)
In January 2016, Bayamón FC joined a special project. They became the first academy in a worldwide program. This program was started by the famous Spanish football star, David Villa. It's called the DV7 Soccer Academy. Later that year, Delfín Ferreres joined the coaching staff. The team then won the PRSL Clausura 2016 Tournament.
Recent Seasons (2017–Present)
In 2017, a new player, Luis Bermudes, joined the team. In 2018, Marco Vélez became the Head Coach. Bayamón hosted their yearly "Bayamón Cup" but lost in the final. They then won the Puerto Rican Football Federation Preparatory Tournament. They beat GPS Puerto Rico 1–0 in the final.
In August 2018, Bayamón FC joined the new Liga Puerto Rico. Josep Ferré became the coach in September 2018. The team finished second in the Liga Puerto Rico. They lost the final in a penalty shootout. But they won the Copa Luis Villarejo by beating Metropolitan FA 4-2.
In July 2019, Delfí Ferreres returned as the coach. In March 2021, Bayamón FC partnered with Queensboro FC. This is a new professional team in the USL Championship. In December 2021, Bayamón FC became champions of the 2021 Liga Puerto Rico. They won by beating Metropolitan FA 2-1 in the final game.
Playing Against Other Countries
First International Games (2010)
In March 2010, Bayamón FC played in their first international tournament. This was the 2010 CFU Club Championship. It's a qualifying event for the 2010–11 CONCACAF Champions League. They had a player from the Costa Rica national football team, Kendall Waston, on their team. Bayamón won their first game 4–1. They then tied the second game, which helped them win their group.
Bayamón moved on to the second round. They beat Avenues United 8–2 overall. This made them the second team from Puerto Rico to reach the Final Round. In the final round, they played against other strong teams. They had a memorable 3–1 win against Joe Public FC.
More International Challenges (2012–2013)
After winning the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Puerto Rico, Bayamón played in the 2012 CFU Club Championship in Haiti. They lost both of their matches there. In 2013, they signed another famous Costa Rican player, Walter Centeno. They played in the 2013 CFU Club Championship in Jamaica. They lost all three matches in this tournament.
Winning a Regional Title (2014)
Bayamón returned to the CFU Club Championship in 2014. They hosted the matches in Puerto Rico. They won one game 5–0 and tied two others. This helped them win their group. Bayamón reached the Final Round for the second time. The final round was canceled, but because of their strong performance, Bayamón qualified for the CONCACAF Champions League for the first time! They were only the second Puerto Rican team to do this.
CONCACAF Champions League (2014)
In 2014, Bayamón FC played in the 2014–15 CONCACAF Champions League. This was a huge step for the team. They played in Group 8 against famous teams. These included Club América from México and Comunicaciones from Guatemala. The team lost their matches. However, they managed to score two goals against Club América.
Recent Regional Success (2022)
After winning the 2021 Liga Puerto Rico, Bayamón FC hosted the 2022 Caribbean Club Shield. This tournament was played in Puerto Rico in April 2022. Bayamón FC became champions of this tournament. They defeated Inter Moengotapoe 2-1 in the final game.

Bayamón FC plays their matches at the Bayamón Soccer Complex. The club has been in charge of managing these facilities since 2009.

Bayamón FC Women's Team
Bayamón FC also has a women's football team called Bayamón FC Femenino. They play their home games at the Bayamón Soccer Complex.
Women's Team History
The Bayamón FC women's team started in 2010. Elgy Morales was their first coach. In 2012, Leander "Cuba" Betancourt took over as coach. Under his leadership, the team became one of the best in Puerto Rico. They won many tournaments in the Liga Superior Femenina. These wins included Apertura 2012, Clausura 2013, Apertura 2014, Clausura 2014, Clausura 2015, and Apertura 2016.
In July 2018, the women's team won the Offside Magazine Cup. They joined the first season of the Liga Puerto Rico in 2018. They started with a big 5–0 win. Bayamón FC Femenino also won the 2019 Copa Luis Villarejo. They beat SPADI FC 2-1 in the final game. Fernando Reyes became the Head Coach for the 2019-20 season. The player Karina Socarrás also rejoined the team.

The club has a large academy with 28 teams. These teams include women's teams, senior team development, and youth teams for both boys and girls. Bayamón FC has over 500 registered players. This makes them the biggest football club in Puerto Rico!
