Beaver Valley is a cool place in eastern Beaver County, Utah, United States. It's a small valley, about 16-mile (26 km) long. Imagine it as a cozy spot surrounded by tall mountains!

The valley sits between three mountain ranges. The Mineral Mountains are on its west side. There's also a part of these mountains to the northeast. This part helps form the valley's northern edge.

Beaver Valley is home to Beaver, which is the main town of the county. Many creeks and streams flow down from the mountains. They all meet up with the Beaver River here. In the valley's southwest, you'll find Minersville Reservoir. This is where the river flows after passing through the valley. From the reservoir, the Beaver River continues west. It goes past Minersville and heads towards Sevier Lake in the north.

Discover Beaver Valley's Shape

This valley mostly stretches from north to south. In the north, some smaller mountains divide the valley. They create a northwest part and a northeast part. This northeast part is where Interstate 15 travels towards Sulphurdale.

In the middle and southern parts of the valley, it gets wider. It's about 12 miles wide there. The southern end of the valley touches the Black Mountains. Interstate 15 goes southwest from here. It then enters the Parowan Valley. You can also find Greenville, Utah at the south end of the valley. It's located on a raised area called the Greenville Bench. This bench is along the foothills of the mountains.

Getting Around Beaver Valley

Interstate 15 is a major highway that runs right through the middle of the valley. It goes from north to south. If you head north on I-15, you'll reach Sulphurdale, which is about 23-mile (37 km) away. If you go south on I-15, it turns southwest. This route takes you into the Parowan Valley and to the town of Parowan.

Another road, SR-21, comes from Minersville. It enters the valley's southwest. It goes past the southwest side of Minersville Reservoir. This road ends when it reaches Beaver. From Beaver, you can take Utah State Route 153. This road goes east and enters the Tushar Mountains through Beaver Canyon. It then travels through the middle-south part of the Tushar range.
