Beech Creek is a small town, called a borough, located in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, United States. In 2020, about 736 people lived there. It was first settled in 1812 and officially became a borough in 1868.

Geography of Beech Creek

Beech Creek is found in the southwestern part of Clinton County. It sits on the northeastern side of a stream also named Beech Creek. This stream flows into Bald Eagle Creek, which is part of the larger West Branch Susquehanna River system. The Beech Creek stream actually forms the border between Clinton County and Centre County.

Pennsylvania Route 150 is a main road that goes through the borough. It connects Beech Creek to Lock Haven, which is the county seat of Clinton County, to the northeast. If you travel southwest on Route 150 for about 13 miles (21 km), you will reach Interstate 80 near Milesburg.

The U.S. Census Bureau says that the borough of Beech Creek covers a total area of about 0.56 square miles (1.44 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 0.54 square miles (1.40 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.01 square miles (0.04 square kilometers), is water.
