Isabella May Ramsey (born in September 2003) is an English actor. They are famous for their role as the young noblewoman Lyanna Mormont in the HBO fantasy TV show Game of Thrones (2016–2019). They also played Ellie in the HBO drama series The Last of Us (2023–present). For this role, they were nominated for several big awards, like a BAFTA Television Award and a Golden Globe Award.
Ramsey also played Mildred Hubble in the CBBC series The Worst Witch (2017–2020). They were the voice of the main character in the Netflix animated series Hilda (2018–2023). Early Life and Education
Bella Ramsey was born in Nottingham, England, in September 2003. They started school in Leicestershire. When they were 12, they switched to an online school called King's InterHigh. This change helped them balance their schoolwork with their acting jobs. Ramsey said they "really didn't enjoy mainstream secondary school and wasn't happy" there.
Growing up, Ramsey loved art, music, writing, and football. They performed with local theater groups from a young age. At 10, Ramsey joined the Television Workshop in Nottingham. This workshop helped them train and prepare for auditions, including for Game of Thrones.

Breakthrough in Game of Thrones
From 2016 to 2019, Ramsey played Lyanna Mormont in the HBO fantasy show Game of Thrones. This was their first major acting role. When they first appeared in the show, fans and critics loved their strong and confident character. Many called Ramsey "season 6's breakout star." They continued playing the role in the show's later seasons.
Other Notable Roles
