History of Bellflower
The town of Bellflower has had a post office since 1887. The community got its name from the beautiful bellflowers that grew naturally near the spot where the town was first built.
Geography of Bellflower
Bellflower is located in the northeastern part of Montgomery County. It is about 10 miles (16 km) east-northeast of Montgomery City, which is the main town of the county.
The city covers a total area of about 0.56 square miles (1.45 square kilometers). All of this area is land. There are no large bodies of water within the city limits. A small stream called the East Branch of Brush Creek flows through the northwest corner of Bellflower. This creek eventually joins the Cuivre River.
