Bethany is easy to find! It sits right along Winona County Road 20. You will find it close to where County Road 27 meets Road 20. County Road 33 is also nearby.

How Bethany Started and Grew
Bethany began to form in 1867. The community really started to grow when the Chicago Great Western Railroad arrived in 1889. This railroad helped connect Bethany to other places.
In 1891, the area was officially mapped out. This was done for the Winona Southwestern Improvement Company. Bethany even had its own post office for many years, from 1890 to 1920.
The community got its name from a church. It was named after the former Bethanian Moravian Church, which was once in the area.
