Black Lake is a beautiful lake located in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada. It's found within the municipality of Dysart et al. This lake is an important part of the huge Great Lakes Basin. This means its water eventually flows into the famous Lake Ontario!

The Water's Journey: In and Out

The main stream that flows into Black Lake is called South Portage Creek. This same creek also flows out of the lake from its southwest side. From there, the water travels through Haas Creek to the Burnt River.

The journey doesn't stop there! The Burnt River then flows into the beautiful Kawartha Lakes. After that, the water continues its path through the Otonabee River and then the Trent River. Finally, all this water reaches its destination: Lake Ontario.

Getting There

If you ever wanted to visit Black Lake, Ontario Highway 118 passes right along the east side of the lake. This makes it quite accessible for those traveling through the area.
