Blandinsville is a small village located in McDonough County, Illinois, in the United States. In 2020, about 569 people lived there. This was a bit fewer than the 651 people who lived there in 2010.

History of Blandinsville
Blandinsville got its name from Joseph L. Blandin. He owned the very first general store in the area. The town was officially planned out in 1842. Before that, it was known as Job's Settlement, named after early settlers William and Ira Job. A post office was set up in 1843. A famous house in Blandinsville, the Frank Hicks House, was built in 1895 by an architect named George Franklin Barber.
Where is Blandinsville?
Blandinsville is in the northwest part of McDonough County. A main road, Illinois Route 9, goes right through the village. If you go northwest on this road for about 6 miles, you'll reach La Harpe. If you go east for about 19 miles, you'll get to Bushnell. The county seat, Macomb, is about 16 miles southeast.
The village covers about 0.88 square miles of land. It sits on a low ridge. Little Creek is to the north, and Baptist Creek is to the south. Both of these creeks flow west into La Harpe Creek. La Harpe Creek then flows into the La Moine River, which is part of the larger Illinois River system.
