Nils Allen "Booboo" Stewart Jr. (born January 21, 1994) is an American actor, musician, and artist. He is famous for playing Seth Clearwater in The Twilight Saga movies. He also played Warpath in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Many kids know him as Jay from the Disney Descendants films. He also appeared as Luca in Good Trouble and Willie in Julie and the Phantoms.
Who is Booboo Stewart?
Booboo Stewart was born Nils Allen Stewart Jr. in Beverly Hills, California. His father, Nils Allen Stewart, is a professional stuntman. Booboo's mother has Japanese, Chinese, and Korean family roots. His father's family comes from Russia, Scotland, and the Blackfoot Native American people.
Booboo has an older sister named Fivel Stewart, who is also an actress. When he was younger, he was part of a Disney hip-hop/pop group called T-Squad. He also performed with his sisters, Fivel and Maegan, in a group called "TSC" (The Stewart Clan).
Starting His Acting Journey
Booboo Stewart began his acting career in the early 2000s. Between 2006 and 2010, he appeared in many independent films. He also worked on movies that went straight to video or were made for TV. He even hosted a children's show called Blue Dolphin Kids in Hawaii.
Booboo also did stunt work for films like Zoom and Beowulf. He had small roles in TV shows such as ER and Everybody Hates Chris. He even toured with Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. Booboo recorded songs for Disney, including "Let's Go!" for the Disney Channel Games 2008. He also promoted toys and games like Wii Fit and Hot Wheels.
Becoming a Star
In 2010, Booboo Stewart got a big role as Seth Clearwater in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. He continued this role in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 (2011) and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012). These movies were a huge hit!
In 2012, he starred in White Frog as Nick Young, a teen with Asperger syndrome. The next year, he played the main character in Running Deer, a short film that won awards. In 2014, he joined the X-Men: Days of Future Past movie as Warpath.
Booboo became even more famous for his role as Jay in the Disney Channel movie Descendants in 2015. Jay is the son of Jafar. He played Jay again in the sequels, Descendants 2 (2017) and Descendants 3 (2019). In 2020, he appeared in the Netflix series Julie and the Phantoms as Willie. He also played Peter Dragswolf in the film Let Him Go.
Since 2018, Booboo has been part of a boy band called That Band Honey. He is also a mixed media artist. He sometimes uses his art to help raise money for good causes.
Helping Others
Booboo Stewart cares about helping others. In 2010, he became a Celebrity Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He helps teach people about muscle diseases. He also joined their "Make a Muscle, Make a Difference" campaign.
He traveled to Perth, Australia, to help raise money for the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. Booboo and his sister Fivel have also given free concerts to support Childhelp, a group that helps children. He also worked with PETA. He encouraged people to adopt pets from shelters instead of buying them. Booboo is also involved with Four Green Steps, an environmental group in Canada.
