Bowser Jr. is a well-known character from the exciting Mario video game series. He is the mischievous son of Bowser, the main bad guy. Bowser Jr. first showed up in the game Super Mario Sunshine in 2002. Since then, he has appeared in many other Mario games, including fun sports games like Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Strikers Charged.

Bowser Jr.'s First Adventure: Super Mario Sunshine
Bowser Jr. made his very first appearance in the game Super Mario Sunshine. In this game, he caused a lot of trouble for Mario and Princess Peach during their vacation. He made Delfino Isle very dirty by covering it in goop.
Shadow Mario and the Kidnapping
Bowser Jr. used a special paintbrush to turn himself into a shadowy version of Mario. He looked so much like Mario that the islanders thought Mario was the one making the mess! Because of this, Mario was put in jail. Bowser Jr. also kidnapped Princess Peach. His dad, Bowser, had tricked him into believing that Peach was his mother. Bowser Jr. thought he needed to keep her safe from Mario. Later, he found out Peach wasn't his real mom, but he still enjoyed fighting Mario.
Bowser Jr. in Other Main Mario Games
Bowser Jr. often helps his father, Bowser, in their plans to stop Mario. He appears in many of the main Mario adventure games.
New Super Mario Bros. Series
- In New Super Mario Bros., Bowser Jr. is a boss you fight in the tower levels. These towers are usually found in the middle of each world.
- He also appears in New Super Mario Bros. Wii alongside the Koopalings. You can find him on a big flying airship.
- Bowser Jr. joins his dad and the Koopalings again in New Super Mario Bros. U.
Super Mario Galaxy Series
- In Super Mario Galaxy, Bowser Jr. helps his father battle Mario in space. He even has three worlds of his own that Mario must explore.
- He returns to help Bowser in Super Mario Galaxy 2, fighting Mario just like in the first Galaxy game.
Bowser Jr. in Spin-Off Games
Bowser Jr. is a very popular character, so he appears in many Mario spin-off games. These are games that are not the main adventure games, but still feature Mario characters.
Racing and Sports Games
- He has raced in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Kart Wii.
- Bowser Jr. also plays in many of the Mario sports games, showing off his athletic side.
- He even appeared in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games and its sequel, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. He was also in Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.
Party and RPG Games
- In Mario Party 9, Bowser Jr. appears as a mini-boss. He has his own special spaces on the game boards where players have to play a minigame with him.
- He is a boss you can fight in Paper Mario: Sticker Star.
- You can also battle him in the Battle Ring in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
