Britland Edge Hill is a hill in England. It stands tall at 523 metres (1,716 ft) (about 1,716 feet) high. You can find it in the beautiful Peak District area. This hill is special because it sits right on the border between two counties: Derbyshire and West Yorkshire.
Exploring Britland Edge Hill
Britland Edge Hill is a noticeable hill. It's in the northern part of the Peak District. It lies between the towns of Glossop and Holmfirth. The hill rises to the east of the A6024 road.
What the Hill Looks Like
To the south, the hill slopes down. It forms a distinct ridge called Dewhill Naze. This ridge then drops steeply into a valley. In this valley, you'll find the Heyden Brook and Woodhead Reservoir.
Like much of the land around it, Britland Edge Hill is open and doesn't have many trees. It's a wide, bare landscape.
Visiting the Hill
There are no official walking paths directly to the top of Britland Edge Hill. However, if you want to explore the area, there's a car park. It's about 1.5 kilometers (just under a mile) to the north-northwest. This car park is where the A6024 road crosses another nearby ridge called Upper Heyden.
