History of Brittnau
Brittnau is a very old place. It was first written about in the year 924. Back then, its name was Pritinouva.
Geography of Brittnau
Brittnau covers an area of about 13.69 square kilometers (about 5.29 square miles). A large part of this land is used for farming. About 52.8% of the area is farmland.
Forests cover a big portion too, about 34.6%. The rest of the land has buildings and roads. Some small parts are rivers or lakes.
Brittnau is located in the Zofingen district. It sits on the left side of the middle Wigger river valley. This valley is known as the Wiggertal.
