Bryant Jennings was born on September 25, 1984. He is an American former professional boxer. He was a top heavyweight boxer who even fought for world championship titles. He is known for his win against former world heavyweight champion Siarhei Liakhovich.

Bryant Jennings's Boxing Journey
Starting as an Amateur Boxer
Bryant Jennings had a good start in amateur boxing. He won 13 fights and lost only 4. One of his notable wins was against Stipe Miocic, who later became a champion in UFC (a mixed martial arts sport). In 2009, Bryant reached the finals of the National Golden Gloves tournament, which is a big competition for amateur boxers. He lost that final match to a more experienced boxer named Lenroy Thompson.
Becoming a Professional Boxer
Bryant Jennings started his professional boxing career on February 26, 2010. In his first fight, he won against Zeferino Albino. He then quickly won more fights, often by knocking out his opponents. He beat Jon Bolden and even had a rematch with Zeferino Albino, knocking him out in the first round this time. He continued to win all his fights in 2010 and 2011.
Winning Early Titles
In 2012, Bryant Jennings had a big fight on January 21. He fought Maurice Byarm and won, which made him the Pennsylvania State heavyweight champion. This was an important step in his career.
Later that year, on March 24, 2012, he faced Siarhei Liakhovich, a former world heavyweight champion. Bryant used his strong jabs and powerful punches to control the fight. Liakhovich stopped fighting after the ninth round, giving Bryant a big win.
On June 16, 2012, Bryant fought Steve Collins and won by a unanimous decision. This victory earned him the USBA heavyweight title. He kept winning, knocking out Chris Koval very quickly and then stopping Bowie Tupou to keep his USBA title.
In 2013, Bryant continued his winning streak by stopping Andrey Fedosov in the sixth round.
Big Fights and Title Shots
On January 25, 2014, Bryant Jennings fought Polish heavyweight Artur Szpilka. Bryant won by knockout in the tenth round. His next big fight was against Mike Perez on July 26, 2014. It was a very close fight, but Bryant won by a split decision. This win made him the top contender for a world title shot.
Fighting for World Titles
Jennings vs. Klitschko
On April 25, 2015, Bryant Jennings got his chance to fight for the world heavyweight championship. He faced the champion, Wladimir Klitschko, at Madison Square Garden. Klitschko was a very skilled boxer who used his jab and strong right punches to keep Bryant away. Klitschko won the fight by a unanimous decision, meaning all the judges agreed he was the winner.
Jennings vs. Ortiz
After the Klitschko fight, Bryant Jennings faced another undefeated boxer, Luis Ortiz, on December 19, 2015. This fight was for the WBA interim heavyweight title. Bryant lost this fight in the seventh round after Ortiz landed some powerful punches.
Returning to the Ring
After taking a break from boxing, Bryant Jennings signed with a new promoter. He returned to fighting on August 19, 2017, and won by knockout in the second round against Daniel Martz. He continued to win his next fights in 2017 and 2018, showing he was back in top form.
Jennings vs. Dimitrenko
On August 18, 2018, Bryant Jennings fought Alexander Dimitrenko. Bryant won the fight in the ninth round.
Jennings vs. Rivas
In his next fight, Bryant Jennings faced Oscar Rivas on January 18, 2019. Bryant boxed well for most of the fight. However, Rivas pushed hard in the last round, knowing he needed a knockout to win. Rivas managed to knock Bryant down twice, leading to a technical knockout win for Rivas.
Jennings vs. Joyce
On July 13, 2019, Bryant Jennings fought Joe Joyce. Bryant started strong in the first round, but Joyce took control after that and won the fight by a unanimous decision from the judges.
