The Bullion Mountains are a mountain range found in the Mojave Desert in California. They are located southeast of the city of Barstow. This mountain range stretches for about 50 miles. It runs from the northwest to the southeast. You can find them north of Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms.

Where Are the Bullion Mountains?
These mountains are in a dry, desert area of Southern California. They are part of San Bernardino County. The nearest large cities are Barstow to the northwest and Twentynine Palms to the south. The desert landscape around them is very beautiful.
Why Can't We Visit the Mountains?
Most of the Bullion Mountains are inside a special area. This area is used by the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms. Because it's a military training ground, almost the entire mountain range is closed to the public. This helps keep everyone safe.
How Tall Are the Bullion Mountains?
The highest point in the Bullion Mountains is in the northwestern part of the range. This peak reaches a height of 4,669 feet (1,423 meters). While not the tallest mountains in California, they are still impressive within the desert landscape.
