CBL Munchee Bangladesh is a well-known biscuit brand in Bangladesh. It belongs to a large company called Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL). CBL is from Sri Lanka and has been making delicious snacks for over 50 years. They sell their products in many countries worldwide.
CBL decided to open a factory in Bangladesh in 2014. This factory is in Sreepur Upazila, Gazipur, about 35 kilometers from Dhaka. It was the first time a Sri Lankan company built a snack factory outside of Sri Lanka. They chose Bangladesh because it was cheaper to make biscuits there than to send lots of them from Sri Lanka. Also, Bangladesh has good deals for exporting products to other countries. This meant CBL could easily send Munchee biscuits to places like Nepal and Bhutan, and even to Europe and the Persian Gulf countries.
Munchee started selling its products in Bangladesh in 2015. By 2019, Munchee biscuits were available in 55 different countries. CBL also works with Concord Entertainment Co. Ltd to show off Munchee at Fantasy Kingdom, a fun place for families.

Digital Campaign Award
In 2017, Munchee and The Daily Star worked together on a special social media project. It was called "Mayer Daka Naam," which means "the name my mother calls me by." People were asked to share their special nicknames from their moms on Facebook.
This campaign won two awards at the South Asian Digital Media Awards 2017. These awards were for "Best Digital Advertising Campaign" and "Best in Social Media Engagement." They were given by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA) and Google. Many popular Bangladeshi social media influencers, like Ayman Sadiq, Solaiman Shukhon, Zara Mahbub, and Arif R Hossain, joined in. They all posted their loving nicknames on Facebook for Mother's Day.
Fastest Growing Brand
In 2018, AsiaOne magazine and United Research Services named Munchee the "Fastest Growing Brand in Bangladesh." This shows how quickly Munchee became popular in the country.
