Cabo de Santo Agostinho is a municipality in Brazil. It is about 448 square kilometers in size. This area is located 35 kilometers south of the big city of Recife, in the state of Pernambuco.
Some historians think that a Spanish explorer named Vicente Yáñez Pinzón might have landed here on January 26, 1500. However, the official discovery of Brazil is credited to the Portuguese explorer Pedro Álvares Cabral on April 21, 1500. Cabo de Santo Agostinho officially became a town in 1811.
This area has both busy industrial parts and beautiful tropical beaches. It also has many nature reserves. Some of the most famous beaches are Chalets, Paraíso, and Gaibu.

Busy Suape Port

Suape Port is open every day of the year. Ships can come and go without problems from the tides. It is one of the most important ports in northeast Brazil. - Itapuama Beach

- Enseada dos Corais Beach

- Gaibu Beach

- Calhetas
Many people come here for diving. Calhetas is located between rocks and coconut trees. It has bars and restaurants. It's also a popular spot for underwater fishing.
- Paraiso Beach
The name means heaven. This beach is tiny, only about 30 meters long. It's tucked between large rocks. The sea here is very calm because reefs protect it from waves. This is how it got its name.
- Suape Beach
Suape beach has almost no waves and shallow water. This makes it excellent for water sports. At low tide, you can see sand banks. It is located near the industrial and port complex of Suape.
