Caleb Holley's Football Journey

Starting His Pro Career

Caleb began his professional journey in 2014. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent. This means he wasn't chosen in the main draft. Even though he worked hard, he didn't stay with the Bills.

In 2016, Caleb joined the Sioux Falls Storm. This team plays in the Indoor Football League. He played 11 games and caught 40 passes. He gained 650 yards and scored 21 touchdowns. He also returned kicks for 168 yards. Caleb was named the IFL Offensive Player-of-the-Week one time. By the end of the season, his team, the Storm, won the United Bowl championship. This was a big win for him!

Playing in Canada

In August 2016, Caleb signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. This team is in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played well in his first two years. He gained over 600 receiving yards each season. In 2017, he signed a new contract to stay longer.

However, in 2018, Caleb played only 9 games. He had fewer catches and yards than before. He also didn't score any touchdowns that year. For two years in a row, he missed the Roughriders' playoff games. After the season, Caleb and the team did not agree on a new contract. He became a free agent in February 2019. This meant he could sign with any team.

Moving to Ottawa

Brief Stays with Other Teams

On February 21, 2020, Caleb signed with the BC Lions. However, the 2020 CFL season was cancelled due to world events. He became a free agent again in February 2021.
