The Cambridge Science Park is a special place where many science and technology companies work together. It was started by Trinity College in 1970. This makes it the oldest science park in the United Kingdom. It has strong connections with the famous University of Cambridge nearby.
The science park is located about 3 kilometers north of Cambridge city center. It is close to a main road called the A14. You can also reach it by Cambridge North railway station or the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway. Right next to it are the St John's Innovation Centre and Cambridge Business Park.

History of the Park
The land where the science park now stands was given to Trinity College a very long time ago. This happened when King Henry VIII founded the college in 1546. For many years, the land was used for farming.
During the Second World War, the US Army used this land. They prepared vehicles and tanks there for D-Day. After the war, the land was left empty and unused.
Then, in 1970, an idea came up to turn it into a place for science and new ideas. Tony Cornell suggested it, and Sir John Bradfield helped make it happen. Trinity College worked with Sir Francis Pemberton to create this new center.
In 2017, Cambridge had grown a lot. The park then got its first director. They also announced a big investment. This money was used to make the facilities better and help reduce traffic.

Teams of four people compete. Some even wear funny costumes! They either run one lap together or four laps as a relay race. Each lap around the Science Park ring road is about 1.8 kilometers long. The race starts and finishes in front of the Cambridge Consultants building. Medals and trophies are given to the fastest runners and those with the best costumes.
