Canusio Lake is a freshwater lake located in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is found in the northeastern part of Senneterre, within the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region.
The area around Canusio Lake is mainly used for forestry, which means cutting down trees for wood. People also enjoy visiting the lake for fun outdoor activities like fishing or boating.
You can get to Canusio Lake by using special forest roads. The lake is usually frozen from early November until mid-May. It is generally safe to walk or play on the ice from mid-November to mid-April.
About Canusio Lake
Canusio Lake is about 17.2 kilometres (10.7 mi) long. At its widest point, it measures 2.4 kilometres (1.5 mi). The lake has a very interesting and complex shape. It features many islands, peninsulas (land surrounded by water on three sides), and bays. There is also a large swampy area on its western side. The lake sits at an elevation of 393 metres (1,289 ft) above sea level.

Canusio Lake gets its water from two main rivers:
- The Saint-Cyr River South, which flows in from the northeast.
- The Mégiscane River, which flows in from the south.
The water from Canusio Lake then flows out into the Mégiscane River from the lake's north shore.

Name History
In the past, Canusio Lake was known by a different name: "Lake Matciskan". The name "Lac Canusio" was officially recognized on December 5, 1968, by the Commission de toponymie du Québec. This commission is responsible for naming places in Quebec.
