The Capital City Country Club is in Brookhaven. The club first leased this location in 1913. They bought it in 1915. At that time, the golf course there grew from nine holes to eighteen. The current country club building was built in 1928.

Architecture
Downtown Atlanta Club Building
The downtown Atlanta Capital City Club building was designed by Donn Barber. He was an architect trained in the Beaux-Arts style. This style is known for being grand and serious. The building looks similar to famous clubs in New York City.
The club building has a Georgian Revival style. This means it uses textures and designs from that period. It was first built with four stories. Later, a fifth floor was added above the decorative trim.
Capital City Country Club Building
The Capital City Country Club building was designed in 1928. It is located in Historic Brookhaven. This building looks like a large, old country house. It has a charming and spread-out design.
The country club building has tall chimneys. It also has a round stair tower with a cone-shaped roof. Its angled wings with gabled roofs create an interesting shape. These features give it a French Provincial look.
