His Life and Teaching
Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd was a professor of painting. He taught at The Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm from 1965 to 1969. Later, in 1974, he was a guest professor at the Minneapolis School of Art in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. His artistic talent was recognized when he received the Prince Eugen Medal for painting in 1986.

Reuterswärd is most famous for his sculpture called Non-Violence. This artwork shows a revolver (a type of gun) with its barrel tied in a knot. It is a very powerful symbol of peace.
