Carlos Antoine Emmons, born on September 3, 1973, is a former American football player. He played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). After his football career, Carlos became the President and CEO of Emmons, LLC. He also owned restaurants and bars in Atlanta, Georgia.

Early Life and Football Beginnings
Carlos Emmons started playing football when he was in seventh grade. He first played as an offensive lineman, which is a player who blocks for his teammates. In eighth grade, he changed to playing wide receiver, a player who catches passes.
High School and College Career
Carlos went to Greenwood High School in Mississippi. There, he played as a defensive back and a linebacker. After high school, he continued his football journey in college football. He attended Arkansas State University.
At Arkansas State, Carlos was a starter for all four years. He earned his degree in Business Management in December 1995. In his final year of college, he was recognized as a second-team All-Big West Conference player. During that season, he made 63 tackles and had four sacks.
Professional Football Career
Carlos Emmons was chosen in the seventh round of the 1996 NFL draft. This is when professional teams pick new players from college. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Playing for the Steelers and Eagles
Carlos played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1996 until 1999. In 2000, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles. He played for the Eagles until 2003. In his last year with the team, he was named their Defensive MVP (Most Valuable Player). This award showed how important he was to the team's defense.
Time with the New York Giants
In March 2004, Carlos signed with the New York Giants. He played for the Giants until 2006. His professional football career ended on February 12, 2007, after he had surgery on his back.
