One interesting place in Carmine is the Texas Basketball Museum. Coach Bob Springer runs this museum. It shows off players who became professionals. It also features high school teams that achieved great things.

Geography
Carmine is located in the northern part of Fayette County. It shares a border with Washington County to its northeast.
A major road, U.S. Route 290, goes right through Carmine. This highway connects Carmine to other towns. You can travel east about 18 miles (29 km) to Brenham. Going west, it's about 15 miles (24 km) to Giddings. Larger cities like Houston are about 91 miles (146 km) to the east. Austin is about 70 miles (113 km) to the west.
