The Cartoon Network Shorts Department is a special program at Cartoon Network Studios. It helps artists create new animated ideas for TV shows. These ideas are called pilots or shorts.
The program started in 2013. Six new cartoon ideas were first shown online. Four of these ideas were so good that they became full TV series!
One of the shorts, Mushroom and the Forest of the World, was even nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award. This award is a big honor in television.
