Cedar Grove is a small town located in Kanawha County, West Virginia, in the United States. In 2020, about 714 people lived there.
The town was officially formed in 1902. It got its name because early settlers thought a large group of juniper trees looked like cedar trees. Cedar Grove is also home to Fort Kelley. This is the oldest settlement in the Kanawha Valley, dating back to 1773.
Important old buildings in Cedar Grove include the Tompkins Home, built in 1844, and the Old Brick Church, built in 1853. As of July 1, 2023, the mayor of Cedar Grove is Melissa (Missy) Young.
