About Celines Toribio
Celines Toribio was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She went to Lehman College and finished her studies in 1997. She earned a degree in Mass Communications, which is about how news and media work. She also studied Theater, which is about acting.
In 2006, Celines moved to Los Angeles to become an actress. She has studied acting with Arthur Mendoza. He is a well-known acting coach who has worked with many famous actors.

Hosting TV Shows
Celines started her TV career in 1995. She hosted a fun show called Sabado Al Mediodia (Saturday at Midday). She also reported on entertainment news for WXTV. She hosted Galeria (Gallery), which was a daily show about celebrity news. Another show she hosted was Mi Gente (My People). This show featured interviews with famous Latino people.
While working at WXTV, Celines often appeared at big events. These included the Puerto Rican Day Parade and the Dominican Day Parade.
In 1997, Celines became known across the country. She hosted coverage of Miami's Calle Ocho street festival for Univision. Univision is one of the biggest Spanish-language TV networks. Later, she became a reporter for Univision's show Fuera De Serie (Something Outrageous). She also reported entertainment news for El Gordo y La Flaca (Fat and Skinny).
Celines has interviewed many major Latino celebrities. These include Ricky Martin, Luis Miguel, Celia Cruz, and Michelle Rodriguez. From 2002 to 2006, she hosted a Major League Baseball show. It was on ESPN Deportes and called Sabor a Beisbol. She was the only woman to ever host a Major League Baseball TV show. She also co-hosted a morning radio show in New York.
On September 13, 2008, Celines hosted FIESTA 2008. This was a big Latino concert held in Central Park in New York. On August 31, 2020, she was a guest host on Telemundo's morning show " Un Nuevo Día. "
Acting Roles
Celines Toribio has also acted in several films. She appeared in El hijo del carnicero (The Butcher’s Son) with Manny Pérez. In June 2008, she worked with Vin Diesel on a short film. This film was part of the movie Fast & Furious.
She also starred with Michelle Rodriguez in the historical film Trópico de Sangre. This movie was shown for the first time in July 2010. In the film, Celines played the role of Dedé Mirabal.
